Another Catch For The Cubs

With the focus on Jon Lester as the Cubs newest acquisition, the Cubs have previously traded some minor league pitchers to the DBacks for Catcher, Miguel Montero.

In 2014, Montero batted .243.

While sporadic with the bat, Cubs lead Catcher Wellington Castillo has demonstrated he can be a punch in the line-up if only he would develop some consistency.

Castillo has consistently improved behind the plate, and deserves the opportunity to start on opening day.

I’m just wondering whether Castillo may be put on the trading bloc?   The only other roster Catcher being Rafael Lopez.

Unless there is a well seasoned veteran Catcher inbound via trade, trading Castillo would not be prudent.
