Belt To The Buckle
The Cubs are back after a mid-season time out. Unfortunately, that return found the Cubs on the losing side of a 4-2 ball game in Atlanta on Friday.
Monterro is out, and remains on the DL.
However, with some more development, a healthy Miguel Monterro could bring the extra punch needed in the Cubs line-up but, in his absence there is Kyle Schwarber who, is obviously ready to provide a belt to the Rizzo-Bryant buckle in the line-up.
So buckle up, and get ready for a Cubs domination of the planet next year.
In the mean time, this is the pivotal year. It is the year for some experimentation, and exploration of those tendencies.
No longer the push-overs of Major League Baseball, and no longer, Cellar-Dwellers, the warning is being distributed to Cubs opponents everywhere they play.
This loss out of the way, the Cubs will put up Jon Lester as the starter on Saturday in game 2 of a 3 game set with the Braves.
