It’s Daytime, and Starlin Shines On Wrigley; I’m Off DL

Unfortunately, I have missed some exciting games this year with the Cubbies but, I’m off the DL.

Friday was a good day for the Cubs.

Can you only imagine earlier this season, Joe Maddon had to replace Starlin Castro as a regular.  Yet, Maddon had to enfranchise Castro with  the feeling of importance  to this club’s success.  At the same time, the message was clear:  ‘You have a spot waiting for you but, you have to earn it.’

Well, something went right.  Castro obviously understood the Maddon mandate, put his head back in each ball game, and has performed like an All-Star.  Castro has earned, and continues to earn it with a stellar performance on the field, including his first ‘Curtain Call’ in front of the home crowd.

Yesterday, Wrigley’s ‘Darlin’ Starlin’ was shining bright with 6 RBIs, and 2 round-trippers!
