The New York Yankees had been the role model for Major League Baseball, and classified by many as, a dynasty. That’s the way it was in the 1960s as I was growing up.
There were only 16 teams in all of Major League Baseball.
Now there are 30, and blossoming as an iconic team that has every potential to be the boss, the 1 team looked up to will be the Chicago Cubs. A dynasty, just like the 1960s Yankees.
In 2016, the Cubs will be ready to prove it as they become more experienced, and the kids that much better developed.
The 1960s Yankees were always right on top of a pennant, and some October play back then. You could just about be brilliant about baseball by, predicting a Yankee trip to the Series. This is what I feel is coming for the Cubs.
Dynasty status in the National League.
One of the components of that Yankees dynasty was Catcher, Yogi Berra. Berra died, Tuesday night, after becoming a part of the Americana story.
Yogi Berra was attributed with many classic sayings like, ‘It’s deja-vu, again’, and ‘It ain’t over til it’s over.’
Berra was right on with that one. Legends live forever, so Yogi Berra lives on, and it just ain’t over yet.
