Cubs Play Their Cards Right
Jake Arietta was not at his best but, his teammates were backing him from the bench.
Schwarber, Bryant, Rizzo, Castro, Soler and Fowler sent the long balls out of Wrigley Field for a record 6 HRs in a game during post season play.
Arietta’s night ended early as the Cards pushed close but, even
Adam Wainwrght couldn’t turn off the Cubs bench.
Let’s not forget. This is not any one player’s game to win or, lose. There is always something, somebody can do to affect the outcome of the game. It is the sum of the chain of events that determines a win or, a loss.
The Cubs collected a win in Monday’s contest at Wrigley Field against the St. Louis Cardinals. There’s more on the victory, and more Cubs post season commentary, news, and videos on the Cubs Home Page.
