Don’t Ever Take It With You

If any of the Cubs are having some thoughts about it, you can be sure Joe Maddon will disallow any extra baggage as they move to Busch Stadium, tonight.

It’s over.  Colorado has left the ball park.  They won.  Beat the Cubs.

The past is only a thought, and has no influence on now.  Unless of course, you just want to carry extra baggage that fractures your focus.  A Maddon, no-no.

There is nothing Colorado can do with the victory, and nothing the Cubs can do about the losses.

So what if Colorado beat the Cubs.

Right now, the Cubs are 9 & 3 on the year.

What matters is the now, and the Cubs will send former Cardinals pitcher John Lackey to perform starting duties in St. Louis.

The Cubs move along to Busch Stadium in St. Louis to continue a franchise rivalry.  This is a rivalry enhanced by, former Cardinals John Lackey, and Jason Heyward now on the other side of the rivalry.

This is all that matters until, it doesn’t.
