There’s Almora Where That Came From

Albert Amora, Jr. figured heavily in to the only victory the Cubs would have in Washington.  That game was yesterday as Almora got the game winning hit, and RBI.

It looked at one point like he might have figured heavily in to another victory with a hit, and the potentially winning run, today.

It didn’t work out that way in an extra inning see-saw Nats – Cubs contest.

Almora just recently got here from AAA-Iowa due to some Cubs designations to the DL.  When those designations end, who goes where?????

The Nationals took 2 out of 3, and demonstrated the possibilities of a very tough October should these two end up playing each other to move to the World Series.

The Cubs go in to an off day, tomorrow before heading home for a 3 game series with Pittsburgh.

First pitch from scheduled starter, Jake Arrieta at 120pm CT on Friday.
