Last night was an open invitation from the baseball to the Cubs’ Kris Bryant. Simply, ‘hit me.’ So he did, more than once.
Setting some records, Bryant entertained to the tune of 5 for 5. You want specifics? This was better than any imaginable cycle. 3 HRs, and 2 doubles.
Protocol calls for being an agreeable, polite visitor. Kris Bryant acknowledged the invite from the ball at the Great American Park in Cincinnati.
Plenty of Cubs fans in the park last night but, Bryant took the politeness protocol for visitors to another 1st class level refusing to take a Curtain Call as a visitor.
The game from last night is well documented along with media on the Official Chicago Cubs Home Page.
Concerns from last night’s contest focus on Cubs starter, Jake Arrieta who, for the 2nd start in a row was less than sharp finishing only 5 innings. From the plate, Arrieta contributed an HR.
Cubs, and Reds have paired up again in Cincinnati with Jon Lester getting the start for the Cubs.
