Cubs Win Streak Starts At One
Got to start somewhere! Double digit win streaks don’t happen as an every day occurrence in Major League Baseball.
In any case, the Cubs have left an 11 game streak in the dust as the Cards played their hand.
The two clubs were evenly matched at 2-2 until a very tough 8th inning without the availability of Strop or, Rondon in the Pen. Hendricks did alright until then, allowing 2 R on 5 H in 7.
The Cubs had been the beneficiaries of opposing wild pitches to help determine games in their favor as of late but, got the favor returned by St. Louis as described in multi-media detail on the Cubs Official Home Page.
ESPN gets the call tonight as MLB.tv puts me on the game blackout list for the Sunday night contest between the Cubs, and Cards at Wrigley Field. Game time is not 707pm or, 709pm but exactly 708pm – CDT with
John Lackey throwing for the Cubs.
