Cubs Miss On Run Production

With 9 hits, the Cubs had only 1 run to show for it today as the Brewers took game 4, and the series 3-1.

Kyle Hendricks went 2 for 2 at the plate.  To the plate, 9 strike-outs, 2 runs on 6 hits in 6.  Usually, with a performance like that, all would be fine for the Cubs.  The bench was hitting but, not cashing in the hits.

Have to credit Brewers pitching along with some decent offense able to keep Bryant, and Rizzo to one non-productive hit for each of them.

Today’s over, and looking forward to the next game at Wrigley Field as Cincinnati begins a 3 game series tomorrow with the lead-off batter facing Cubs Starter, Jason Hammel at 705 pm CDT.
