No Battery Tune-up Needed

Jon Lester, and David Ross teamed up in front of, and behind the plate. Once again they performed their magic.

Jon Lester pounded out a double in the 2nd, and David Ross came home ahead of Lester running about 10 years younger than he says he is, scoring from first.

Plenty of help with hits as the Cubs make 6 of 11 count.

Lester made a 7 inning pitching contribution of just 1 run on 6 hits with 5 Ks to the books.

The bullpen allowed just a hit to close it out.

The box, videos, news, commentary, and more all available on the official Cubs Digital-Media Suite.

The win gives Cubs fans at Wrigley Field the turnstile advantage for the NLDS.

Tonight’s game against Cincinnati has John Lackey starting for the Cubs at Wrigley Field with the game already underway.
