Weight Time Over; No Pressure

Where to begin!  Well, the 108 year drought is over as the Cubs complete my predicted 3 game win streak.

Down 3 games to 1, many had a false assurance of the Cubs folding and the World Series title would certainly belong to the Cleveland Indians.

Most of us who are Cubs fans knew better.  We’ve seen the Cubs come from behind many times, this year.  It’s nothing new.

This Cubs team really looked hopeless according to some as the Indians moved on to a 3-1 Series lead.

They have struck back when least expected to some but, not Cubs fans. We know how adept they are, and the weight time on Chicago has been lifted.

The Cubs beat the Indians 4 games to 3 for the 2016 World Series victory.

A little Maddon classroom work, and it turned around big time.  By the time game 6 was over, the Series was in a 3-3 tie!

While I have a lot of favorite moments from this World Series, I have to give credit to my All Star choice.  He didn’t make the All Star team but should have as a strong defensive player.

David Ross is a leader among men in the clubhouse.  The younger players look up to him as a mentor, and he plays an educated game of baseball. Ross is retiring after the World Series, and will be missed on the field, and in the clubhouse.

Ross played his last game tonight, and capped his career with an HR.  If I haven’t said this yet, Ross has become a fan favorite for all the reasons listed above.

There were a lot of heroes for the Cubs.  A real team effort led by, Manager Joe Maddon, and his coaching staff.  Not to forget Theo Epstein, Jed Hoyer, their Scouting team for assembling this team of record.

This 7th game had inning by inning comebacks for each team.  We got a rain delay, and an extra inning before it was all over.

What a dramatic finish as the Cubs made the final comeback in a game of comebacks.

I can just hear it!  ‘Cubs win!  Cubs win!  Cubs win!  Cubs win!  Holy cow, the Cubs have won the World Series!  How about those Cubs?  The Cubs have won the World Series!  Holy cow.’

There are videos, news, commentary, stories, pics, and the box available on the official Cubs Line of Site.
