Rizzo Likes Cincy Pitching
There is a reason for expensive walls. That purpose: Anthony Rizzo knocking the ball over them in Cincinnati as he delivers, again. Another HR. 3 long balls in 3 days.
Sounds good except for one thing. Cubs did not sweep the Reds at the Cincinnati home.
Another consistency in the Cubs lineup is; Jason Heyward who is maintaining a BA close to .300.
Back to pitching, even Jake Arrieta’s ERA is slightly above 3.00. A roll out of stats on the Cubs page indicates too many toxic ERAs above 3.00. Consider IP (Innings Pitched) before condemnation. It’s still early.
For details on yesterday’s game, and a move to Pittsburgh for 3 with a day off before spending the weekend in Boston at Fenway Park for a series with the Red Sox, check in with the Cubs on their home plate.
